| Web Site Monitoring |
We offer 2 tests. Our basic test will confirm that the web site is up and that is responds correctly. Our advance test first carries out the basic test, and then goes on to confirm the page is showing what is expected. |
| DNS Monitoring |
We will monitor any Name Server, first by checking we can connect and query the server, secondly we will query a domain name (you can select the domain) and check the response is the expected one. |
| 4 Monitoring Locations |
We can monitor your targets from 4 different locations these are based in the USA, UK, Canada and France. |
| Alerts by email or SMS |
You can setup an unlimited number of alert contacts. Alerts by email are sent at no additional cost. We can also send using SMS (Text Messaging) and this is billed per message. We can send you both down and up (restored following downtime) alert messages. |
| Monitoring every 5 minutes |
You can select to monitor the target as little as every 5 minutes, there is no additional charge to monitor as frequently as this. |
| Confirmation Check |
Once Website Availability believes a target is down or not functioning correctly, we instantly request a second test from a different country, should that confirm the problem we will then alert you as required. Confirmation tests are also performed when a target is restored. |
| Preventing false alarms |
Even though our confirmation check will remove most false alarms, sometimes a downtime will just be a small blip and we were just unlucky in that split second to test it twice - therefore we have created a Re-Check feature. After a target is confirmed as down, we can wait between 1-5 minutes before performing a second lot of tests, if they still confirm the same, alerts are then sent. At its lowest settings it will only add a minute delay to an alert. This is a free optional feature and can be switched off for any target. |
| Express Re-Checking |
After an confirmed downtime, we enter into Express Re-Checking, this is where we will monitoring the target every 1 minute (and not your normal monitoring interval) for 30 minutes before returning to normal monitoring. For downtimes less than 30 minutes this feature will give you a better idea of how long it really lasted. |
| Logs and Reports |
We record all downtime and this is available to you though the Control Panel. |
